The Governor of Enugu State, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has commissioned an ultramodern mega pavilion at Enugu South Local Government Headquarter Uwani Enugu.
The governor who was represented by the deputy, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai congratulated the local government chairman, Hon Chimezie Nkwuo alongside his team on the great achievement.
He pointed out that the State Government was proud of the council’s comittment to human service delivery cum leadership prowess in the area.

According to him “the project which was dedicated to Dr. Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo, is a unique philosophical and welcoming idea from Nkwuo because Dr Jim Nwobo was and is still a great leader of our time who should be remembered while his leadership legacy should be emulated by anyone that wants to leave positive mark on the sand of time”


He continued “By erecting this pavilion successfully, you have proven to be a great leader whose legacy would be remembered just like you deemed it fit to remember Dr. Jim Nwodo, you have displayed political responsibility and dedication to the people of Enugu South”H
He thanked the Enugu Southerners for their support all the while and urged them to intensify their support for Mba, to gain more democratic dividend dispensation“
“I implore each and everyone to be a good leader wherever you find yourselves for that is the only way you would be remembered.“
“I therefore commission this project, to be in use for entertainment, enlightenment ,to strengthen and unify Enugu South Local Government to the glory of God.” he added.
In a lively speech, the Enugu State competent and workaholic Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon. Akaeze Aka (aka d last) who also anchored the program said that the edifice was a huge achievement of the Enugu South Mayor in just the first tenure of his administration.
Hon. Aka equally disclosed that Nkwuo’s completed Project was one of it’s kind in all the seventeen (17) local government areas of Enugu State.

The commissioner thanked the council Boss and his team for a job well done and urged the indigenes of Enugu South to keep their supportive flag high for Nkwuo as he had proven his ability to do more if massively supported.
Earlier in an opening remark, the Enugu South Local Government Chairman; Hon. Chimezie Nkwuo appreciated God Almighty for granting him the enablement to complete the pavilion and for blessing the State Government with the Executive Governor, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his tireless working team.
He said that his innovative/infrastructural developmental dispensation in Enugu State is second to none and appreciated his dependable team workers starting from his deputy, Dr. Sandra Akuabata Onyia, his amiable wife ; Barr. Adaeze Nkwuo, Stakeholders, political appointees, Council of Igwe and Traditional Rulers with Party members.


“It has been the grace of God and our collective prayers answered that I joyfully present to you the good people of Enugu South this evidence of my administration in the political space of our time.
“Thank you for your unalloyed support and I will continue to work for you to ensure that this wind of development in Mbah’s administration penetrates every nooks and cranny of this Local Government” he concluded.
In their respective speeches, Barr. Patricia Nwobodo who stood in for her husband Dr. Jim Nwobodo, the Hon. commissioner For Rural Development, Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs; Okey Ogbodo, leader of Enugu South Traditional Rulers Forum; Daniel Nnamani, the Chairman Ohaneze, Enugu South Chapter, Emma Ugwu J.P, among others commended the Mayor and attested that he has broken the jinx in Enugu South as he has reach a unique Apex by completing successfully such a well great construction
The General Overseer of Beautiful Gate Assembly Enugu ; Bishop Ugo Welms was among the religious leaders who graced the occasion.
While praying for Nkwuo’s progress and sustenance in the political corridors, the spiritual father committed the program into the hands of God to continue to strengthen the Local Government Chairman inorder to discharge his duties diligently on the path of righteousness.
Women groups from all works of life also witnessed the event.
The ceremony witnessed displays of ijele masquerade, different musical band and the presentation of gifts (cow) to the Executive Governor Peter Mbah and the forerunner of politics in the State, Dr. Jim Nwobodo by the council Chairman to show his birthday gratitude for providing an enabling environment unto which he thrived for the completion of the project.
