The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ ha inaugurated a disciplinary committee positioned to tackle ethical lapses in the discharge of their duties.
The national President Aisha Ibrahim while inaugurating the committee charged them to be fair to all parties.
During the inauguration which was done virtually, Aisha stressed that any member of the committee with conflict of interest in any matter brought before the committee should step aside and allow other members to handle the matter.
In her response, the chairman of the committee, Adesola Jacobs assured the National President that their committment in line with the ground rules for Petitions.
Encouraging members to Follow Procedure, she called on members of the association to channel their grievances and petitions in writing to the committee within two weeks or latest 17th February 2025 to enable the committee attend to such issues speedily.
According to her, “Such petitioners should not use insulting or foul language and the petitions must be duly signed with phone numbers and state chapters indicated on it.
