In a tragic incident that has shaken the community of Kabeama in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, a man known only as Tony has been arrested for the alleged beheading of his girlfriend, Maxuel Ebibraladei.

The couple, who shared a child, were involved in a horrifying event that has left the neighborhood in shock.

According to reports from neighbors, the gruesome act took place in the early hours of Saturday, around 3 am, with the victim’s severed head discovered at dawn.

Local residents acted swiftly, apprehending Tony as he tried to flee the scene, and he was handed over to the police for further investigation.

The motive behind this barbaric act remains unclear, prompting authorities to launch a comprehensive inquiry into the matter.

Meanwhile, the body of Maxuel Ebibraladei has been transferred to the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre in Yenagoa, as the community mourn the loss of the young woman.

Tony is currently held in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), awaiting legal proceedings as the investigation unfolds.
