Breaking: AFCON 2023: Ivory Coast Coasts Home With AFCON Trophy

Sebastian Haller a few minutes ago made good his promise to avenge the Elephants’ defeat by the Super Eagles at the group state of the just ended AFCON completion in Cote D’Ivoire.

In the final match of the competition played before a capacity crowd this evening, Haller scored the winning goal that delegated Nigeria to the second position.

Super Eagles opened scoring in the 38th minute of the game through perfect heading by William Troost-Ekong from a corner kick.

At resumption of hostilities, Cote d’Ivoire equalized through Franck Kessie in the 62nd.

The Elephants showed more determination in the match and piles up much pressure on the Eagles, a pressure that earned them third time champions of the competition.
