The Immediate Past Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports in Ebonyi state, Charles Akpuenika has felicitated his bosom friend and Councillor of Azummili/ Azuugwu ward of Abakaliki Local Government Area of the state, Emeka Ikegwu on his birthday.

Akpuenika who is presently a Legislative Aide to the Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, said Ikegwu who is the Deputy Leader of the legislative council deserves all accolades he is getting on the auspicious occasion due to his sterling qualities.

Akpuenika, popularly known as “Game Changer” in the Ebonyi circles, said he was delighted to be part of the occasion to mark God’s continued goodness and protection on his “friend and brother”.

“I have known Ikegwu for over a decade and I can say proudly and confidently that he is among the people in this world I trust and will continue trusting.

“He is a part of my family and my acquaintance with him has been of immense benefit to me especially my success as Commissioner for eight years.

“God endowed him with wisdom, kindness, humility and sociability attested by the way the people of the ward overwhelmingly voted for him to be their councillor.”

He noted that Ikegwu is one individual that is sincere and has contributed greatly to the growth of the urban community in Abakaliki.

“His wealth of knowledge and sagacity has made him contribute positively to legislative affairs of the council and the ward which he presides over.

“The United Brothers Club (aka Internal) which I head among other organisations which he belongs to, hold him in the highest regard for his steadfastness, sincerity, commitment among other attributes.

The former Commissioner wished Ikegwu long life, good health among God’s other bountiful blessings on the occasion of the precious birthday celebration.

“As you mark and rejoice over God Almighty’s gift of another year, I sincerely pray for his continued divine blessings, love and protection.

“By this time next year and many more to follow, we all would be alive to roll out the drums of celebration in honour of a man of distinguished character and gift to the society.”
