BREAKING: SUMAS Igbo Eno To Be Upgraded To Teaching University Hospital.

Governor Mbah of Enugu State has signed into Law the Bill that sought to upgrade the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences ( SUMAS) Igbo-Eno to a teaching university hospital status.

This is in line with the priority the Mbah administration placed on education, which has a large chunk of 33% of the state’s budget.

Mbah, while signing the bill into Law on Tuesday March 26th pledged his administration’s support to the management of the university in line with his government’s philosophy and policy on education.

By this law, SUMAS can now teach medicine and allied courses unencumbered.

SUMAS is located at Igbo-Eno, near Orba, in Udenu Local Government of Enugu State. By implication, Governor Mbah extends his development agenda to every part of Enugu State, having no regard to political leanings.

Uche Ugwu; Secretary to Enugu State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Barr. Victor Udeh; Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ikechukwu Obi; SPA Legal, Osita Nnajieze, SPA Delivery, Ozed Afigbo, SSA External Relations, Uche Anichukwu; SSA New Media, Reuben Onyishi.
