A Veteran Actress is Dead

A Kannywood actress, Saratu Gidado, popularly known as Daso, has died.

Daso was a prominent figure in the Hausa film industry for more than 18 years. Her wonderful exhibitions and adaptable jobs charmed her to crowds across the Northern area. Preceding her renowned acting career, Saratu was a committed school teacher.

Notwithstanding her success in the entertainment world, She was a caring wife and a mother. Her strength and devotion to her acting career serve as a motivation to many aspiring actors and actresses in the Kannywood industry.

The fresh insight about her death, dispersed through local radio broadcasts in Kano, has sent shockwaves all through the entertainment industry in Kano State.

Her relatives said Daso died in her sleep in the early hours of Tuesday after the midnight meal before the commencement of the day’s Ramadan fast (Sahur).

Desirenews gathered that the declaration of her demise has left fans and colleagues mourning the departure of a beloved talent. As arrangements were in progress for her memorial service, planned for 4 pm, tributes kept on pouring in from all sides of the entertainment world.
