JUST IN: Former Law Maker, Senator Ayogu Eze Dies @ 66

Senator Senator Ayogu Eze who represented Enugu North Senatorial Zone and Former Senate Committee Chairman on Information and Media is dead.

Senator Eze was a member of the Constitution Drafting and Amendment Committee For the 8 years he spent in that chamber. He made some remarkable changes in the 1999 constitution of Nigeria as amended.

After his re-election to the senate in 2011, he was appointed chairman of the Senate committee on works.

Eze also served as a member of committees on Police Affairs, National Planning, Marine Transport and Federal Character & Inter-Government Affairs.

Born on 23 November 1958, Sen. Ayogu Eze was elected on June 5, 2007, to represent Enugu North Senatorial District of Enugu State.

It was observed that Sen. Ayogu Eze who was in the National Assembly between 2007 and 2015 died on Thursday in an Abuja hospital at the after suffering a yet to be disclosed illness.
