In a surprise move, Enugu Governor Peter Mbah has dismissed ENSUBEB Chairman Dr. Gabriel Ajah, appointing Dr. Hyginus Bankho to take his stead with immediate effect.
According to SaharaReporters, Ajah revealed his dismissal during an emergency meeting with ENSUBEB staff, citing instructions from the governor.
Though the reason for the dismissal remains unclear, it came after a reshuffling of the board that saw Dr. Amaka Ngene moved from Member 1 to Chairman of Science, Technical and Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB).
With Ajah’s removal and the new appointments, it is yet to be seen how this change will affect the education system and the stakeholders involved though some people interviewed said the administration of Gov. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is determined to bring state education sector to limelight
