Horror in Gaza: Israel Levels UN School, Refugee Camps in Bloody Escalation

Gaza City woke up to the deafening boom of Israeli airstrikes, as the Israeli army targeted a UN school and two refugee camps in a chilling and brutal display of firepower.

The onslaught has sent shockwaves through the besieged enclave, raising grave questions about the Israeli military’s disregard for civilian life and its escalating war on Gaza.

The attack killed at least two Palestinians who were sheltering there among other internally displaced people.Correspondent reports that at least five people were killed when the Israeli army shelled a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The attack was followed by a strike that killed at least five in the nearby Nuseirat refugee camp.Israeli strikes killed a second Hezbollah commander in 24 hours, according to statements from the Lebanese group and the Israeli army. Israel also assassinated a senior commander of a Hamas-allied armed group in Lebanon in the last day.Israel has reduced by 94 percent the amount of water available in Gaza, “creating a deadly health catastrophe“, an Oxfam report says.At least 38,848 people have been killed and 89,459 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza.

The death toll in Israel from Hamas-led attacks on October 7 is estimated at 1,139, with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
