The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has issued a public alert, demanding that all residents and businesses in Enugu State adhere to the forthcoming monthly sanitation exercise.
The clean-up, scheduled to take place on 31st August 2024, from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, is expected to involve widespread community participation and compliance, as part of the state’s efforts to maintain clean and safe environments.
In a press release issued, ESWAMA emphasized the importance of collective efforts in keeping Enugu State clean and green, and cautioned against any attempts to circumvent the sanitation guidelines.
According to it, the Enugu State Waste Management Authority’s call to action underscores the importance of community-driven efforts in promoting a clean and healthy environment.
By demanding compliance with the monthly clean-up exercise, ESWAMA is sending a clear message that everyone has a responsibility to contribute to the well-being of the state.
