Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has informed Corps Members in the state that Nigerians repose great faith and hope in them and them not to betray such faith.
Fubara made the statement in a message to the closing ceremony of 2024 Batch B Stream II orientation course at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area, on Tuesday.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Bureau, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Hamilton Amadi, the Governor further noted that Nigerians were filled with a sense of fulfillment, courtesy the corps members’ patriotic services.
“It is hoped that such patriotic services would lift the country into the path of economic growth and greatness.
“I commend you on your good conduct, steadfastness and commitment throughout the orientation exercise which made the experience superlative and spectacular.”

The Coordinator of NYSC in Rivers State, George Mfongang said that the corps members imbibed the needed capacity in discipline and values, during the orientation course.
“It is hoped that they will use such capacity to make invaluable contributions to their host communities and the nation at large.
“I am delighted with the high level of honesty, integrity and sound morals exhibited by the corps members, as they will go places in leadership and nation building.’
Mfongang appreciated the governor and people of Rivers State for their unwavering support to the NYSC scheme saying it would not be taken for granted.
“We wish to condole the Nonwa-Tai people over the death of their deputy Paramount Ruler and Chairman, NYSC/Host Community Relations Committee, Chief MeneBarikpe Mballey.
