Enugu State Partners Nigerian Society of Engineers for Infrastructure Growth

Enugu State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Gerald C. Otiji, has urged members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) to showcase their expertise and contribute to the state’s impressive infrastructure development.

He made this call during a courtesy visit by the National Leadership of Nigeria Society of Engineers to Enugu State.

Otiji highlighted Governor Peter Mbah’s support for the engineering profession and the significant impact of Nigeria Society of Engineer’s involvement in ongoing projects “the Governor aims to make Enugu a hub for various professions”.

The Commissioner revealed plans of the administration of Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to dualize all gateways to Enugu State and Complete transportation terminals across States by December 2024.

He welcomed hosting the Nigeria Society of Engineers 2025 Annual Conference, citing Enugu’s infrastructural readiness, including a modern International Conference Center, upgraded Presidential and new five Star hotels will add value to the Conference.

Earlier, the of Chairman Nigeria Society of Engineers proposed hosting the conference, requiring facilities for 6,000 engineers, accommodations, transportation, and security.

He commended Governor Mbah’s laudable projects and prayed for his good health and wisdom.

The occasion featured a tour of the ongoing International Conference Center , dualization of Airport Flyover to the Ebonyi State border and Transportation Terminals in the State.
