It is with deep sorrow and outrage that the Nike-Uno Unity Forum, condemn the brutal and senseless murder of our beloved son, Okezie Chikezie Mba, known as Igbo-Ja, an iconic figure in Ogene Traditional Music.

In a statement signed by the leaders of the forum dated October 27th, it frowned at the heinous crime allegedly committed against Igbo-Ja by members of the Nigerian Police Force.

Describing it as a grave injustice that has shaken our community to its core, it demands thorough and transparent investigations into this matter to ensure that all those responsible for his untimely death are brought to justice swiftly.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State for his prompt response to this tragic incident. His leadership and commitment to our community during this challenging time are greatly appreciated.

We urge our community, particularly the youth, to remain calm and refrain from any actions that could jeopardize the peace and security of Enugu metropolis. It is essential that we uphold harmony and solidarity in the face of this tragedy.

We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the immediate family, friends, and the entire Ogui Nike Clan. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this difficult time. May the soul of Igbo-Ja and all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.”
