NUJ: Enugu Stakeholders Celebrate Isiguzo, Congratulate His Successor, Yahaya

We, the stakeholders of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Enugu State Council, on behalf of our great and highly motivated members, extend our warmest congratulations to one of us and immediate past National President of our great union, Comrade Chris Isiguzo, on his meritorious service to the union for two unbroken but successful tenures of six years.

We, the journalists in Enugu State, are very proud to associate with you because you have made us proud with your performance and elevation of journalism as a respectable profession in Nigeria.

You ended your tenure quite strongly without any negative report. Your ebullient but exemplary leadership, dedication, and commitment to the growth and development of our great union and journalism profession have been truly inspiring.

We also commend you for conducting free and fair election at the 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference held in Owerri, Imo State, which ensured a seamless and smooth transition of power to your successor, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi. Your selflessness and loyalty to our union are qualities that we admire and appreciate.

We have been rating you very highly for your exemplary leadership even when you served the union as the National Vice President Zone C(South East), but the just concluded delegates conference served as a litmus test for the positive legacies you left behind for the union. The outcome of that Owerri election was a huge vote of confidence on your leadership and we are glad to share in that.

To our new National President, Comrade Yahaya, we offer our hearty congratulations on your assumption of office and wish you a successful tenure.

As we in the Enugu State Council prepare for our own election and smooth transition of power in February, 2025, we look forward to working with you to advance the interests of our Union.

Please accept our best wishes for continued success and happiness.
