Rangers Raffle Project: Enugu Gaming Commission Extends Deadline for Expression of Interest

The Enugu State Gaming Commission, ESGC, has announced deadline extension for the submission of expressions of interest in the Rangers Dream Big Raffle Project to December 20, 2024, citing growing interest from investors and stakeholders eager to align with this initiative and the Commission’s commitment to inclusivity and widest possible participation.

The deadline extension was announced by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Commission, Nwanneka Udeh, in a statement on ry, noting that the Rangers Dream Big Raffle Project “offers private sector partners a unique opportunity to participate in a pioneering venture that combines sports, gaming, and economic development in a structured and regulated environment.”

Citing also the recent Supreme Court ruling affirming state governments’ exclusive authority to regulate gaming activities in Nigeria, which it said had created a more predictable and stable investment environment, the Commission stressed that “for the first time, investors can engage with the gaming sector free from the jurisdictional uncertainties that previously hindered growth.”

It said the project reinforces the Commission’s commitment to leveraging its regulatory authority to foster partnerships that drive community development, enhance sports infrastructure, and deliver strong returns on investment.

It said the enormous interest generated so far could be attributed to projects attractive features such as leveraging a renowned brand like Rangers International with huge loyal and passionate fan base spanning Nigeria and beyond, a guaranteed extensive market reach, attractive revenue sharing model, regulatory assurance, and promising impact in the areas of sports development, job creation, and promotion of local enterprises.

“The overwhelming interest the Commission has received underscores the need to provide additional time for stakeholders to submit proposals that align with our vision. This extension ensures that no potential partner is left behind in contributing to this groundbreaking initiative.

“The Rangers Dream Big Raffle Project offers a unique investment proposition with tangible benefits for private sector partners such as revenue growth, brand affiliation, and strategic collaboration,

“The Rangers Dream Big Raffle Project transcends gaming is an ecosystem of innovation, community impact, and sports development. For high-level decision-makers, corporate investors, and gaming sector leaders, this is an unmissable opportunity to contribute to the future of sports and gaming in Enugu State while achieving strong returns on investment,” the PRO concluded.
