Amb. Onyinye Mamah, the president of Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative (WOSUWO) and Executive Director of Heroine Women Foundation has issued out an official response to the disclaimer by the supposed leader of Anambra Women General Assembly and WOSCONET, Amaka Nweke.

Speaking to newsmen, Amb. Onyinye Mamah wondered why the beater is crying louder than the beaten.

“I, Amb. Onyinye Mamah, President of Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative (WOSUWO) and Executive Director of Heroine Women Foundation, would like to address certain misconceptions and allegations circulating in the public domain.

For the record, I possess all necessary documents and credentials to substantiate my leadership roles in WOSUWO and Heroine Women Foundation.

First of all, we acknowledge that the similarity in names between Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative (WOSUWO) and Women Support Women Community Network (WOSCONET) may have caused confusion to embattled Amaka Nweke. However, we assure the public that Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative, (WOSUWO) is a legitimate, independent organization dedicated to empowering women and promoting human empowerment.

Sequence of Events Regarding Allegations Made by Amaka Nweke

Amaka Nweke, who claims to be the President of WOSCONET, Supposed leader of Anambra Women General Assembly (AWGA), Kpakpando Support Group and whatever she claims was formerly the Secretary of Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative WOSUWO under my leadership. Regrettably, she started making unsubstantiated claims and allegations of fraud against WOSUWO.

Meanwhile, in response to allegations of embezzlement made by Amaka Nweke against the President of Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative (WOSUWO), Amb. Onyi Mamah, the organization took the following steps:

1. WOSUWO issued three times, official letters inviting Amaka Nweke for interrogation and mediation.
2. Stakeholders and family members also intervened, inviting her in many occasions for mediation.

Despite issuing her three formal letters requesting clarification on these accusations, Amaka Nweke declined to respond to these invitations where she was expected to provide evidence or documents to support her allegations.Also, she has not provided evidence to support her claims.

Furthermore, we have observed a concerning pattern in Amaka Nweke’s allegations. Initially, she accused WOSUWO’s president of embezzlement in 2022/2023. However, in 2025, she shifted her focus to allegations of impersonation. This sudden change in Amaka Nweke’s administrative capabilities are unclear, and her leadership style should be called into question, given the inconsistent and unsubstantiated allegations she has made against WOSUWO’s president.

However, we are concerned that these allegations may be related to internal administrative quagmire in WOSCONET. Despite numerous invitations for mediation.

We therefore reiterate our call for Amaka Nweke to provide concrete evidence to support her allegations. We are committed to transparency and accountability within WOSUWO and will take all necessary steps to ensure that our administrative processes are fair, just, and free from any wrongdoing.”

Nevertheless, reiterate our commitment to transparency and accountability and encourage Amaka Nweke to provide concrete evidence to support her claims, as this would help clarify the situation and establish the truth.

Interestingly, Amaka Nweke has recently issued a written disclaimer regarding impersonation in 2025. This development raises questions about her initial allegations and motivations.

Call to Action
In light of these events, we challenge Amaka Nweke to present concrete evidence to substantiate her claims. We propose that the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) certificates of both WOSUWO and WOSCONET be presented to clarify registration dates and confirm in accuracy which organization was established first.

We are confident that this evidence will vindicate WOSUWO and demonstrate the true facts of the matter.
