The Abia State Police Commissioner, Danladi Isa, has issued a stern warning to officers under his command, charging them to shun extortion and corruption in all forms.
The Commissioner gave the charge while decorating newly promoted officers of the command in Umuahia. He stated that the command would continue to exhibit zero tolerance for corruption and urged them to always show professionalism in their dealings.
CP Isa used the occasion to call on the newly promoted officers to see their new posts as a call for more work in the force, stating that promotions come only from God. He warned that the command would not tolerate any uncivil behavior from officers to the general public.
Responding on behalf of the decorated officers, Chief Superintendent of Police Lynda Balogun thanked God and the Inspector General of Police for the promotion and assured that they would put in their best in the service to the command.
Correspondent reports that sixty-three officers made up of sixteen CSPs, eleven SPs, and thirty-six DSPs were decorated on the occasion.
