It was a day of pomp, glamour, and joy as friends gathered to celebrate in Grand style a remarkable woman, Dr. Ngozi Obioha-Nkemdirim

The birthday celebration which took place at the Enugu State Children’s Center, was a testament to Dr. Obioha’s philanthropic spirit and her commitment to giving back to the community.

The center, which provides care and support to vulnerable children was transformed into a colorful and festive venue as never before.

Speaking to newsmen, the center co-ordinator, Enugu state Children’s Home, Mrs. Ginika Ozougwu, expressed happiness with the atmosphere that was electric with laughter and music filling the air.

“I feel super excited to see these children happy and celebrating with Dr. Ngozi Obioha. She has really made their day special. This center is a place where vulnerable children are cared for and we are grateful for Dr. Obioha’s support.

“Majority of the children you see here are neither fatherless nor motherless. The reason their cases are pathetic is that we do not have any trace of their relatives. When you hear about children they dump along the road side, you see them here. FSP Children’s Center is where abandoned children are kept. So we do not have trace of the history of their parents or relatives .
If you had been here last year January, you will notice that there is lots of improvement by the wife of Enugu state government and mother of the state, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah. “It was a truly unforgettable celebration, that one will remember for a long time to come.

The daughter of the celebrant, Miss Ela Obioha was full of surprises at the turnout of the event.
“I am happy that my mum is celebrating her birthday today. Mummy, happy birthday. God bless you. I pray that God will grant you many more years in good health and happiness.”

The Deputy chief Whip Enugu state House of Assembly and member representing Enugu South rural, Hon.Obiajulu Princess Ugwu said she Dr Obioha is a quintessential woman. She is a phenomenal woman, strong Humanitarian and compassionate lady. Someone who does not eat alone, someone who shares in other people’s pain and sorrow. That is why we had to shut down everything we supposed to do today just to celebrate this woman.”

“Of course she is celebrating life and I am intentional about that. I don’t have the right word to explain who Dr Ngozi Obioha is.
I am praying that God will continue to protect her and increase her on every side, in wisdom, in knowledge, in good health, in prosperity so that she will see many more beautiful things.

Also, a close friend of the celebrant, Amb. Onyi Mamah who is the Executive Director, Heroine Women Foundation and President Women Support Women for Human Empowerment and Mentorship Initiative describe her as a rare breed.
“Today, we are celebrating a friend, a pal, a phenomenal insurance broker. Dr. Ngozi Obioha is a lover of others, very accommodating. She understands humanity in community love and development. I celebrate her today and will always do.”

A spiritual director and woman leader, Lady Doris Ijeoma Okoro and Mrs Uche Ohiri maintained that giving is in Dr Ngozi Obioha’s blood.
“Today is one of my busy days but because she is very special to me, I suspended many things to attend this occasion. I have to create this time to be with her because she is someone that cares for others. she is a philantropist. she is this kind of person that practice love in the real sense. I call her love personified. At any giving point in time you call her she is ever ready to answer.”

“I am here to celebrate a wonderful woman, a woman with a heart of gold. Dr. Ngozi Obioha is special to me, she has made a great impact in my family. She is a husband, friend, sweetheart, all rolled into one. I pray that God will continue to bless her, give her long life and prosperity, and fill her bank account with plenty of money.” says Ohiri.

Mrs. Nonye Obioha Obiabumo said the celebrant is very special to her.
“I have known Dr. Ngozi Obioha for over 10 years, and I can attest that she is a wonderful person. She is a free spirit who always wants everyone around her to be happy. I wish her more happiness and good health on her special day.”

Her driver, Mr Onyekachi Ugwuanyi was not left out. “she is my branch manager but I noticed that she is more than a mother to me. I call her mummy because she is very good to me, She has a heart that I have never seen before and I have learnt a lot from her”.

In a reaction, the celebrant, Dr Mrs Ngozi Obioha-Nkemdirim who was seen with tears of joy said her friends took her by surprise.

According to her, “celebrating birthday in this manner makes me feel happy. This is something that I am used to, I mean celebrating with the less privileged, this is something that I do almost every year. This place is not new to me I have been here before it was renovated. This is part of my home where I come to share love. Today is so special in my life because it’s my birthday ofcourse you know. One of the things that always makes me happy is when I put smile on people’s faces.”

She continues “Infact I never knew I would see today because last year I had series of challenges that if not by the special grace of God I don’t think I will even be here today. I am happy because God gave me the grace to see another year of my age.
When I was planning this, I did not expect what I am seeing. I used to go to old people homes, last year I celebrated it with the windows, this year I said let me celebrate it with the children. Somehow my spirit said why are you going alone, why can’t you just invite your friends so as to make an impact.
My spirit reminded me of WOSUWO family so I extended the IV to them not knowing that they planned unimaginable things for me. Oh my God, before I got here they were all here, what I saw was multitude of people jump on me singing happy birthday songs to cheer me, it was a big surprise to me. The second surprised was when I came out from seeing the children, I didn’t know that Onyi Mamah kept expensive gifts, hired saxophonist, sound system just for me. Infact surprises today is so amazing. I wish I can appreciate all my friends that came here, I wish I can show them gratitude by doing something special to appreciate them for this wonderful love and support.
I pray that God Almighty that I serve will meet them at the point of their needs. they will never lack in their lives, not just that they came for me, they also came with gifts for the children. I pray that God Almighty will reward them Absolutely In the mighty name of Jesus Amen.

Desirenews Correspondent reports that as the celebration drew to a close, Dr. Obioha was presented with a special birthday cake which was jointly cut and toast thereafter.
