Further to its avowed commitment to repositioning the State owned university, Ebonyi State University, the Government has handed over sites for the construction of new faculty buildings in the institution to contractors handling the projects.
The new buildings are for the Faculties of Education at the Main Campus of the University and Law at its CAS Annex.
The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof Amari Omaka, SAN, handed over the sites to the contractors on Tuesday at the project sites.
Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner said Contractors have less than one year to complete the projects.
“I want to emphasize that you have less than one year to complete this project.
“Ensure that you keep to the specifications and standards already set by the government. We will not entertain any shoddy work nor late delivery.

Deputy Vice Chancellor, DVC (Academics), of the University, Prof. Ike – Elechi Ogba and top Government officials, Omaka declared: “FON is working.”
“Since Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru GGCEHF assumed office as Governor of Ebonyi State, the fortunes of EBSU are in a steady progress.”
He urged the Contractors not to disappoint.
In separate responses, representatives of the Companies gave an assurance that they would deliver on schedule.
