IHIALA MURDER: POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTS

Anambra State Police Command through the Ihiala Divisional Police Station Tuesday arrested one Chidiebere Igboanugo and Emmanuel Ibeabuchi from Umunwaji Ogboro, Ihiala over the murder of an 80 years old woman, Mrs Theresa Igbojonu of the same village.

According to statement issued by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the PPRO of the Command, late Mrs Igbojonu was found gagged in the mouth both the legs tied by her murderers.

The statement pointed out that investigations were on going on the matter and that a black motorcycle allegedly stolen from the deceased had been recovered.

Chidiebere Igboanugo was arrested when he was seen riding the stolen motorcycle along Ezego junction in Ihiala.

Upon interrogation by Security Operatives, he acted swiftly Chidiebere implicated who was subsequently arrested.

Two other suspects known as Alla and Emeka sre currently at large.

The Commissioner of Police CP Ikioye Orutugu directed the immediate transfer of the Case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka for discreet investigation and urged the Operatives to intensify efforts in arresting the suspects that are currently on the run.
