Nigeria’s Civil Service Commission has distanced itself from publications on the social media sgiwing candidates shortlisted for recruitment.
A statement by the spokesman, Taiwo Hassan, said the attention of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) had been drawn to a publication circulating on various social media and online platforms, sending spurious invite to inform candidates of being shortlisted for FCSC job recruitments that closed in March 17th, 2025.
“We emphatically declare that information contained in the publication did not emanate from the Commission and those online publications are fictitious and should be disregarded”, it warned.
“The Commission cautions the public to be wary of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers requesting payment from them, as the Commission will never demand any money from shortlisted candidates.”
The statement stated, “For the avoidance of doubt, whenever the Commission officially concludes the shortlist exercise, candidates’ shortlisted will be informed, and also publicly announced through various media platforms and on the Commission’s website (www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng)”.
