2025 ANSSI Enters LGA STAGE

The local government stage of 2025 Anambra Solution Sports Initiative (ANSSI) has kicked- off in the 21 local government areas of the State. The Local Government stage will be rounded up on Friday, 9th May, 2025.

Information from across all the Local Government Areas shows that most of events are been competed for fiercely.

From Ekwusigo LGA, the Athletics qualifications shows that in the junior boys 100M, Onyebuchi Franklin of Orifite Boys took the first position while Udegbu Mmesoma of Boys Sec. Sch.Orifite and Austin Ebube of Saint Michael’s Boys Ozubulu came second and third respectively.

In the 100M senior category, Nduka Chinaecherem of Boys Sec. Sch. Orifite came first. Chukwu Kelvin of Seat of Wisdom Sec.Sch. Ozubulu came second and third position was won by Osega Benedict of Boys Sec. Sch. Orifite.

From Onitsha North,
Inland Girls beat Washington Grammar School 3 – 0 at the Girls U-18 Football finals.

From Idemili North local government Area, results gathered for u-18 boys /girls and u-14 boys / girls shows that
Community secondary school umuoji defeated St Albert de great obosi by 3 – 1.

In U-18 girls category,
Dominican Sister’s College Abatete had a walkover against St Alphonsus nkpor.

Queen of Rosary college Eziowelle beat
Dominican Sister’s College Abatete 2 – 0 to win the u-14 category.

From Orumba North U12 football category,
Central School Ndike lost to Community school Umuonyiba Ufuma by a lone goal in first semi finals while Nkwoagu primary school Nanka defeated
Central School Awa by 2 – 0 in the second semi finals.

From Ifitedunu the result we have shows that in athletics (60m girls.) Ozume Chinaecherm of Central school Umudioka came first while Ede Chijindu of Central school Ifitedunu. Okechukwu onyekachi took second and third respectively .

As at the time of this report, competitions are ongoing at various local government areas. The schools are competing in 11 sports including Athletics, basketball , volleyball, cricket, chess, football, takwando, tennis, ncho, amongst others.
