Former ECWA President and Vice President of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Dr. Stephen Baba Panya, has called on the Pastors to stand firm in preaching the truth of the Word of God, for the true transformation of believers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Rev Dr Stephen Panya made the call on the occasion of Matriculation of students of ECWA Theological Seminary, IGBAJA Abuja Extension Durumi 2 FCT Abuja.

CAN Vice President said there was a need for Pastors to get back to the old days teachings of the Word of God, for the genuine salvation of souls and transformation of lives for the advancement of God’s kingdom and the glory of His Name.

He advised the Pastors not to compromise the Gospel for their selfish ambition, but be ready to fight the battle of truth, ready to suffer, to sacrifice and to pay the supreme price for their life, because they are recruited by the Lord as the true soldier of the Gospel.

He encouraged the Pastors who wanted to be effective in teaching the Word of God to endeavour to attend ECWA Seminary to know the Bible and its principles.

Responding, the Coordinator ETS IGBAJA, Abuja Extension Durumi 2, Rev Dr Praise Ayuba expressed gratitude to God, adding that the institution has been running for 16 years and this is the first time the institution is having its Matriculation in Abuja.

He noted that it is an opportunity to grow the Men of God to interpret the Word of God to congregations.

The highlight of the programme was the Matriculation Oath and presentation of awards to Graduands.
