Enugu Police Command on High Alert: CP Giwa Directs Massive Deployment for Democracy Day

The Enugu State Police Command has been placed on high alert ahead of the Democracy Day celebration on June 12, with Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, directing a massive deployment of personnel and resources across the state.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, the Commissioner has ordered Area Commanders, PMF Squadrons’ and Tactical Squads’ Commanders, as well as Divisional Police Officers (DPOs), to ensure effective deployment of personnel and resources to properly police their areas of responsibility.

CP Giwa emphasized the need for professionalism by all personnel before, during, and after the Democracy Day celebration, warning that “supervising officers would be held accountable for any lapses recorded under their watch.”
