In a recent interview with the press, the Chairman of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) Enugu State, Pastor Dan Orji JDJ, shared his personal testimony on the transformative power of music.

According to him, music is not just entertainment, but a tool for healing, unity, and cultural exchange. He emphasized the importance of creativity, hard work, and dedication in achieving success in the music industry.

Pastor Dan Orji (JDJ) also highlighted his interaction with Governor Peter Mbah, who promised to invite PMAN to a roundtable discussion after the election. “The governor is interested in having a PMAN office in the Art and Culture Commission, which could boost the state’s music industry. “We are still waiting for him to fulfill this promise,” Pastor Dan Orji JDJ said. “Every governor is our grand patron, and we are supposed to play free for the government in all its gatherings once he identifies with us.”

The PMAN boss noted that music provides emotional healing, relieves stress, and fosters social unity. He also emphasized the importance of creativity among Enugu musicians, saying, “When you see me sing one song, you will go back, add something to it, and it comes out fresh as another original.”

With government support, PMAN believes music can drive economic growth, cultural exchange, and national pride. Pastor Dan Orji JDJ’s discography includes notable albums such as “Onwu na ndu di ire naka,” “Oso di anyi niru,” and “Anointing si n’igwe.”

The Enugu State chapter of PMAN will celebrate its annual event in grand style, hosting members and artists from other states. This year’s theme is “Healing Through Harmony and Melody.” The event aims to democratize music, encourages free public performances, and allow people from all walks of life to experience music.

As the music industry continues to thrive in Enugu State, Pastor Dan Orji JDJ’s message is clear: music is a passport to greatness, and with the right mindset and support, Nigerian artists had achieved international recognition and success.
