Uplift wellbeing Of Your Host Communities, Ibas Tells Youth Corpers In Rivers

The Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd.) has urged corps members to demonstrate utmost commitment in improving the lives of members of their host communities.

Ibas made the remarks Tuesday in a message to the closing ceremony of 2025 Batch A Stream II Orientation Course for Corps Members deployed to Rivers State, at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area of the state.

The sole administrator, represented by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman NYSC State Governing Board, Prof. Ibibia Lucky Worika expressed delight at the topnotch discipline exhibited throughout the orientation course by the corps members.

“You participated actively in all camp activities as your positive conduct is commendable and heartwarming.

“I encourage you to integrate fully with people of your communities and savour the abundant natural resources that God has blessed Rivers State with.”

The State Coordinator, NYSC Rivers State, Mr. Moses Oleghe, in his farewell address, advised the corps members to make maximum use of the Service Year.

“You should explore your passion, develop your skills and gain insights that will shape your future.

You should be reminded that the essence of the Service Year is to make a difference in positively impacting on the lives of people.”

A total of 2, 302 corps members made up of 931 males and 1, 371 females successfully completed the orientation exercise in Rivers State.
