A former law-maker in Enugu State, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Ugwuerua has hailed the State Governor, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his recent Launching of Enugu Air, describing him as a Governor with undiluted mission, vision and action.

Hon. Ugwuerua who represented Nsukka West State Constituency in the 7th Enugu State House of Assembly made the commendation while fielding questions with pressmen in his Nsukka residence on Thursday.

He said Mbah has taken vital steps in making Enugu a centre of excellence and a leading state in the East of the Niger, emphasizing that he has exhibited a high level of leadership charisma and capacity in providing for the people of the state.

The former law maker said the launch of Enugu Air will alleviate the problem associated with air transport in the state, adding that it will also improve businesses, tourism , attract foreign investors and generate employment to the youths in the state.

He added that Mbah has been strategic in his administration, ensuring that every segment of the economy in the state is giving priority attention, and for the benefit of the masses.

“I must be frank. Governor Mbah has unavoidably shown that he has the development of Enugu State at heart. He has also shown his preparedness to liberate Enugu State from the prevailing economic hardship through the introduction of various possible avenues that can boost its revenue generation. Enugu needs to be financially stable without relying on federal government allocations. This, I believe is the spring board that has prompted the Governor to embark on projects that will benefit the masses.

We are aware that prior to the launch of Enugu Air, Governor Mbah had done a number of other projects to leverage the good life of the people like the establishment of Smart schools in the 260 wards in the state, building of 260 type 2 healthcare centres in the same wards, constructed a number of kilometers of roads in Enugu metropolis and other numerous infrastructural facilities.

With the smart school, our children will be all round in getting quality education like those in the United Kingdom or United States of America.

Without mincing words, Governor Mbah has lived up to his campaign promises of turning the state around with infrastructural development and human capacity building.

The rebuilding of Enugu International Conference Centre, the Presidential Hotel Enugu, among other multi national development projects stand out to prove Mbah as a working Governor.

So, his initiatives are highly commendable and appreciated “, Hon. Dr Ugwuerua said.

He enjoined the people of Enugu State to rally round support for the Governor in his bid to change the narrative and transform the state to the desired level, saying that his slogan of “Tomorrow is Here ” is actually playing out.
