Enugu Commissioner Praises Governor Mbah’s Initiatives, Robust Infrastructure in Healthcare

‎Enugu State Commissioner for Health, Prof. George Ugwu, has commended Governor Peter Mbah for his visionary leadership and commitment to building robust healthcare infrastructure in the state. The commissioner praised the governor’s initiatives, which have enabled healthcare facilities to deliver exceptional services.

‎Prof. Ugwu who made the remark during an unannounced visit to PHC Type 2 Health Center in Otuku village Emene and General hospital Udi said that Mbah’s administration has made significant strides in improving healthcare delivery in Enugu State. Governor Mbah’s leadership style which was described as visionary, pragmatic and people-centered, also marked a results-driven approach and bold policy reforms.

‎According to him, “We came here to see how functional this place is. I decided to come unannounced so I can see exactly what is happening here,” Prof. Ugwu said during the inspection.

‎”One of the key doctrines of the present government enshrined by the governor of Enugu state, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, is optimal performance, and my own interest is to make sure that health workers are performing optimally,” he added.

‎Prof. Ugwu vowed to improve healthcare delivery in Enugu State. “We will work tirelessly to address any challenges you may encounter in this job and ensure that our healthcare facilities provide optimal quality services to the people.”

‎The commissioner’s unannounced visit serves as a wake-up call for the health care workers to prioritize healthcare services and address any hindrance to quality delivery.

‎”Citizens can expect improved healthcare services in the near future as the state government works to implement reforms.” he also stated.

‎According to our correspondent, the commissioner emphasized that the  governor has assured that the government will work tirelessly to ensure that healthcare facilities provide quality services to the people.
