‎Abakpa Nike Road Closure: See Alternative Routes Provided‎

‎The Enugu State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure wishes to inform the general public of an upcoming temporary closure of Abakpa Nike Road, specifically at the Last Bus Stop location.

‎A Statenent e-signed by Ngozi Ngene, PRO, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure
‎Enugu State indicates that the closure is due to the essential construction of a box culvert at the said location as part of the ongoing dualization project.

‎”The closure will commence at 12 midnight of Thursday, 2nd October  2025, and is expected to last for 3 weeks.

‎This closure is necessary to allow the contractor to complete the culvert construction effectively and safely, and within the specified timeframe. We understand this may cause inconvenience and seek your understanding and cooperation during this period.

‎To alleviate traffic issues, alternative routes have all been prepared for vehicles and road users. They include: Obinagu Road, Texaco – Amurri road – Nowas Junction – T-Junction.

‎Othets are Liberty – Edward Nnaji Street- Ugwunwani Street- Corner Stone – T-Junction as well as Liberty – Edward Nnaji Street – Ogwuago – Harmony road – Nkwo Nike Junction / Nike Lake

‎”Please use these routes to navigate around the construction area”. It also stated.

‎We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and earnestly plead with the general public and Abakpa residents in particular to bear with the State Government as we strive to improve our road infrastructure for a better tomorrow.
