Rays of Hope Foundation Boss Dr. Ngene Advocates Disability Inclusion in Nigeria

The Executive Director, Rays of Hope Foundation, (RHF), Dr. Nkiruka Stella Ngene, has made a forceful advocacy for disability inclusion in Nigeria, as she emphasized that disability should not be conceived as a death sentence, but something to be reasonably accommodated by the Nigerian government policies.

Dr. Ngene made the above emphasis and advocacy regarding disability inclusive policies in Nigeria in an event organized in the House of Liberty Church, in Nsukka, to celebrate the 2024 Christmas season with the less-privileged, particularly Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

In her opening remarks, Dr. Ngene reiterated that the Rays of Hope Foundation was particularly happy to celebrate the 2024 Christmas together with persons living with disabilities.

According to Ngene, the current Nigerian economic reality is highly regrettable. She, however, expressed her optimism that God, in His infinite mercies, would continue to provide for everyone, including people living with disabilities.

She further expressed her passion in putting smiles on the faces of people, especially, those living with disabilities, which fuelled her interest in celebrating the 2024 Christmas with people with disabilities. In her own words: “I have passion in putting smiles on people’s faces; that is why we have decided to commemorate this Christmas with you; to show you that we love you and care for you; to show you also that God’s gift of love is for everyone.” Furthermore, in her own expression: “Christmas is a period associated with gifts and we all know that givers never lack; so, if you see anyone you are better placed than he or she, give to the person, no matter how small or little it may appear.
This gift is from our heart to bless mankind, especially, people living with disabilities.”
